A prayer for you

Prayer While Waiting for Results

The waiting can be the hardest part — the mind fills silence with the worst it can imagine.

Wait for the LORD. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for the LORD.
Psalm 27:14 (WEBBE)

Lord, the test is done and now I wait, and the not-knowing is its own kind of suffering. My imagination runs to the worst, and the hours stretch long. Teach me how to wait on You and not only on the phone. Guard my mind from rehearsing fears that may never come true, and give me courage for whatever the results turn out to be. Strengthen my heart in the in-between, where I have no answers and only You. However the news falls, You will still be God, and I will still be Yours. Help me to wait well, leaning on You. Amen.
