Lord, I am standing at the edge of starting something of my own, full of excitement and quietly terrified. Your word says a wise builder counts the cost before laying a foundation; so steady me to count it honestly rather than leaping on hope alone. Give me clear eyes for the risk to my family and my finances, and the courage to begin anyway if this is right. Surround me with wise counsel and honest mentors. Where I am dreaming bigger than I have planned, slow me down; where fear is talking me out of something good, strengthen me. I am not asking You to promise it will work; I am asking for wisdom to build well, integrity from the very first decision, and provision enough to take the next faithful step. Guide me as I begin, Lord. Amen.
