Lord, You ask for my whole heart — to love You with all of it, and all my soul, mind, and strength — and I confess my love is often divided and lukewarm. I want to love You like that, even when I do not yet feel it. Capture the parts of me I hold back: the corners ruled by other loves, the affections I have given to lesser things. Set my heart on fire again where it has grown cold, gently and without condemnation. Teach me that loving You is not mainly a feeling to manufacture but a devotion to grow. Help me love You more today than yesterday. Be my first love, Lord, and have all of me. Amen.
