Lord, more than anything, I want to truly know You — not just facts about You, but You Yourself. Paul's longing is mine: that I may know You and the power of Your resurrection. So much of my faith can stay in my head; draw it down into my heart and my daily life. Reveal Yourself to me in Your word, in prayer, in the quiet, and in the people and moments I would otherwise rush past. Where my picture of You is distorted by fear or old religion, correct it with the truth of who You really are. I do not want religion; I want You. Make Yourself known to me, Lord, and let knowing You change me. Amen.
