Lord, I find myself hoping for what I cannot arrange myself — some unexpected provision, a door I did not knock on, a need met from a direction I never saw coming. Your word says You are able to do far more than I can ask or imagine; I hold that up not as a demand but as honest hope. You know the gap I am staring at and how little I can do to close it on my own. If You would provide in some way I cannot foresee, I would be grateful beyond words; and if the answer looks different from a windfall, give me eyes to see Your provision in ordinary hands and quiet help. Keep me from treating You like a lottery, and keep my trust in You and not the outcome. Surprise me with Your goodness, Lord, however it comes. Amen.
