Help the start go smoothly — a kind teacher, a friendly face at break, the courage to walk in. Settle any tears at drop-off, theirs or mine. Let this be the beginning of a good year of learning and growing. Hem this day in, Lord, behind and before, and let it end with a happy story to tell at dinner. Amen.
