Lord, I want to be productive in my work, but some days I am scattered, stalling, or just worn thin. Your word says to be steadfast and always abounding in good work, because my labour is not in vain in You; let that lift the ordinary hours from drudgery into something that matters. Help me focus on what is actually important rather than only what is loud. Give me the discipline to begin the thing I keep avoiding and the steadiness to finish well. Free me from both laziness and the frantic over-work that pretends to be virtue. Let me do honest, careful work as unto You, and then rest without guilt. Make my labour count, Lord, and steady me through the day. Amen.
