Lord, I am standing at a new beginning, and I bring both my hope and my nervousness to You. Your word says You are doing a new thing, making a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert; do that fresh work in my life now. Help me step forward without being trapped by what is behind — old failures, old fears, old patterns. Give me courage for the unknown and faith that You go before me. Where I am tempted to cling to the familiar even when it is not good for me, loosen my grip. Let this be a beginning marked by Your presence and Your purpose. Make a way for me, Lord, into whatever You are doing next, and walk it with me. Amen.
