A prayer for you

Prayer for My Wife With Cancer

When you cannot fix it for her, you can still lift her up. Here are words when your own run out.

I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
Psalm 121:1-2 (WEBBE)

Lord, I would carry this for my wife if You would let me. Since I cannot, I lift my eyes to You for the help I do not have in myself. Watch over her body through every scan and treatment, and guard the spirit in her that I love so well. On the days she feels less than herself, remind her that she is not less loved. Help me to notice what she needs before she has to ask, and to sit with her in silence when there is nothing to say. Keep fear from ruling our house. Let her sense Your nearness even when mine is not enough. Amen.
