A prayer for you

Prayer for My Wife Who Is Sick

Watching her suffer is its own kind of helplessness.

Praise the LORD, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases,
Psalm 103:2-3 (WEBBE)

Lord, my wife is unwell, and watching her suffer is its own kind of helplessness. Your word praises You as the One who forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases; I hold that picture of You over her tonight. I ask for her healing, plainly and hopefully, while leaving the timing and the outcome in Your hands. Ease her pain and weariness, and lift the discouragement that long illness can bring. Give wisdom to those treating her, and let her feel deeply loved through every hard day. Show me how to help — when to do, and when to simply sit with her. Care for my wife, Lord, body and soul, and strengthen us both. Amen.
