Lord, my wife's mind is restless lately, weighed down by more than she lets on. Your word speaks of a peace that surpasses understanding, one that guards our hearts and thoughts; I ask You to set that guard around hers. Quiet the anxious thoughts that crowd in when she finally sits still. I do not ask You to wipe away every concern she carries, only to keep them from ruling her — to give her a calm that does not depend on everything being resolved. Help me lighten her load where I can and simply be steady where I cannot. Let her lie down and actually rest. Guard my wife's heart and mind with Your peace, Lord. Amen.
