Lord, my son is drifting. He has not slammed the door or run away, but he is wandering off course — the wrong friends, the careless choices, a slow turning away from what is good for him. Your word knows this state: I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek Your servant. So seek my son, gently, before he wanders further than he means to. Put people and moments in his path that nudge him back toward wisdom. Protect him from the consequences that could mark him for life. I cannot choose his friends or his steps for him, much as I wish I could, and I am learning to trust him to a Shepherd who never loses sight of His sheep. Keep my fear from turning into nagging that pushes him further away. And keep a way home always open. Seek my wandering son, Lord, and bring him back to himself. Amen.
