Lord, my child has wandered off the path, and my first instinct is panic — to clamp down, to lecture, to fix it by force. Your word teaches a better way: to restore someone who has stumbled gently, in a spirit of humility. So gentle me. Where I would react in fear, help me respond in love that is patient but not blind. Reach my child in the places my words cannot. Send wise, kind people into their life. Guard them on a road I cannot see the end of, and slow the drift before it hardens into a direction. I cannot restore my child by gripping tighter; only You can do the deep work. So I loosen my hold and lift them to You. Keep my heart tender and my door open, and help me trust You with an outcome I cannot control. Restore my child gently, Lord, in Your own way and time. Amen.
