Lord, my son has diabetes, and as his parent I feel the weight of a diagnosis he will carry his whole life. Your word says he is fearfully and wonderfully made; let no glucose number or label make him feel any less so. Help him handle the injections and the readings without losing his childhood or his confidence to it. Keep his levels in a healthy range and guard his growing body from harm down the road. Give me the wisdom to build good habits in him while still letting him be a boy. Surround him with friends who get it and a medical team who care. Watch over my son's wonderfully made body, Lord, and let us shoulder this together. Amen.
