Lord, my son is out in a world that frightens me more than I let him see — the roads he travels, the friends he chooses, the risks a young man takes without thinking. Your word calls You a hiding place who preserves us from trouble and surrounds us with songs of deliverance; be that for my boy. Guard his body and his choices. Steer him away from the danger he cannot yet recognise, and from the people who would lead him somewhere harmful. Where I cannot watch him, watch him for me. I know I cannot promise myself he will come through every day untouched, and I will not try to lock him away from life; I am asking You to be his hiding place when he is far from mine. Keep my son, Lord, and bring him safely back. Amen.
