Lord, my son is trying to find his footing in work, and I am learning to pray more and manage less. Your word says a man's steps are established by You and that You delight in his way; so I entrust his path to You instead of trying to walk it for him. Lead him to honest work that builds him up and lets him stand on his own. Lift the discouragement of a young person who keeps hearing no, and keep me from rescuing him out of every struggle that would actually grow him. Give me wisdom to know when to help and when to step back. Above all, let him know he is loved whether or not he has it all figured out yet. Establish my son's steps, Lord, and give me peace as I watch. Amen.
