Lord, my son is weighed down by something heavy, and I would give anything to carry it for him. Your word invites the weary and burdened to come to You and find rest; draw my boy into that rest. Lift what is pressing on him — the disappointment, the hurt, the weight he is too young or too proud to name. Let him feel that he does not have to be strong all the time, and that he can bring his tiredness and sorrow to You and to me. Comfort him in the way he most needs, even if he cannot ask for it. Give my son rest, Lord, and carry what is too heavy for him. Amen.
