Lord, my sister serves, and watching her go where I cannot follow stirs a fierce, helpless love in me. Your word says no weapon formed against Your servants will finally prevail, that this is their heritage from You; I hold that promise over my sister even as I refuse to pretend she faces no real risk. Watch over her in the dangers of her duty and the loneliness of being far from home. Guard her body and her heart, and keep her strong and still tender. Send her people who will look out for her like family. Hold me through the stretches of silence. I cannot shield my sister or keep every danger from her; I can entrust her to the One whose protection outlasts every threat. Keep her, Lord, and carry her home. Amen.
