Lord, my daughter is rebelling hard, and most days it feels as if she is set on doing the opposite of whatever I ask. The constant conflict is wearing us both down, and I can feel myself wanting to fight fire with fire. Your word tells me not to be overcome by evil, but to overcome evil with good — so keep me from meeting her defiance with my own. Help me stay the steady, loving adult even when she is not: to hold boundaries without contempt, to keep choosing patience when anger would be easier. Where she is testing whether my love has a limit, let her keep finding that it does not. I cannot control who my daughter becomes, and I am trying to loosen my grip; I am asking You to reach the places in her that I cannot. Protect her from her own worst decisions. And whatever this season leaves behind, let her never doubt she was loved through it. Help me overcome with good, Lord. Amen.
