Lord, my mother lives with chronic pain, and watching her push through it with so little complaint moves me. Your word calls You our strength and shield, the One our hearts trust and are helped by; be her strength on the days pain drains it. I ask for relief for her, honestly and hopefully, leaving the rest in Your hands. Ease the aches that have become her daily companions, and lift her spirit when the pain makes the days long. Give her doctors wisdom and her treatment effect. Help me care for her with patience and honour, and to keep noticing her beyond her pain. Be my mother's strength and shield, Lord, and help her through. Amen.
