A prayer for you

Prayer for My Mother Who Is Sick

The woman who nursed you through every fever now needs that care herself.

He came and took her by the hand and raised her up. The fever left her immediately, and she served them.
Mark 1:31 (WEBBE)

Lord, my mother is ill, and the woman who nursed me through every childhood fever now needs that kind of care herself. In Your word You took a sick woman by the hand and lifted her up; take my mother's hand now. I pray for her healing, honestly and hopefully, and entrust the rest to You. Ease her suffering and her weariness, and honour the years she spent caring for others by caring for her now. Give her doctors wisdom and her body what it needs to mend. Let our roles reversing draw us closer rather than break my heart. Lift my mother up, Lord, and be gentle with her. Amen.
