A prayer for you

Prayer for My Mother Who Is Grieving

Watching your mother grieve is its own ache — the comforter now needs comforting.

He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
Psalm 147:3 (WEBBE)

Lord, my mother is carrying a loss that has broken her heart, and I do not know how to mend it. You are the One who heals the broken-hearted and binds up wounds no one else can reach, so I bring her sorrow to You. Tend the places in her that are too tender for me to touch. Give her nights that hold a little sleep and mornings with a little light. Let her lean on me without feeling like a burden, and let me honor her grief instead of hurrying it. Bind up my mother's wounds, Lord, gently, in Your own good time. Amen.
