Lord, my mother is grieving — perhaps a loss, perhaps the quiet sorrows that come with growing older — and I want to comfort the woman who comforted me. Your word says Your mercies never fail and are new every morning; let her wake to fresh mercy each day she feels low. Be near her in the lonely hours, and send her people who will sit with her, not just check a box. Show me practical ways to ease her sorrow — to call, to visit, to listen to the same memory again with patience. Where I cannot mend her grief, let Your faithfulness meet her in it. Comfort my mother, Lord, with mercies new every morning. Amen.
