Lord, my husband is hurting, carrying a grief or a wound he often bears in silence. Your word says that as a mother comforts her child, so You comfort us; wrap that comfort around the man I love. Reach the pain he hides behind being strong, the sorrow he thinks he has to carry alone so I will not worry. Let him know it is safe to grieve, even in front of me. I cannot take this pain from him, and I will not pretend it away, but I can sit beside him in it and point him to the One who comforts like no one else. Comfort my husband, Lord, the way only You can. Amen.
