Lord, my husband is coming back to me — slowly, unevenly, but coming back — and I am almost afraid to believe it after the long night we have been through. Your word says weeping may stay for the night but joy comes in the morning, and it feels like a cautious morning is breaking over our house at last. Thank You for the strength returning to him, for the colour in his face, for the ordinary moments I will never take for granted again. Heal what still needs healing, and quiet the fear that whispers it could all come back. Help us both to step gently into this new normal — changed by what we have survived, but together, and grateful. If joy is coming with the morning, give us the courage to let it in. Amen.
A prayer for you
Prayer for My Husband During Recovery
As he slowly returns to himself, hope can feel fragile, almost dangerous; you are allowed to hope anyway.
“For his anger is but for a moment. His favour is for a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning.”
