A prayer for you

Prayer for My Grandfather Facing Surgery

Praying for the man who has always seemed unshakeable.

The eternal God is your dwelling place. Underneath are the everlasting arms.
Deuteronomy 33:27 (WEBBE)

Lord, my grandfather faces an operation, and I am praying over a man who always seemed beyond shaking. Your word names You our dwelling place, with the everlasting arms beneath us — let those arms cradle him now. Calm his nerves and protect his dignity through all of it. Give those performing the procedure care and sound judgement with an older patient. Keep him safe while he is unconscious and bring him gently back to himself. Steady our whole family through the wait. I cannot determine how this goes; I can lower him into arms that never give way. Be underneath my grandfather, Lord, through this surgery and beyond. Amen.
