A prayer for you

Prayer for My Friend With Cancer

You may not be family, but love makes this your burden too. That is exactly as it should be.

Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:2 (WEBBE)

Lord, my friend is walking through cancer, and I want to help carry what is far too heavy for one person to bear. Show me how to be useful and not just sorry — a meal, a ride, a message on a hard morning, a friend who stays when others drift away. Strengthen my friend's body through treatment and lift their spirits when the days run long. Spare them the loneliness that illness can bring, and let them feel surrounded by people who refuse to leave. Where I fall short, send others; where words fail me, let my presence say what I mean. Thank You for the gift of this friendship. Heal my friend. Amen.
