A prayer for you

Prayer for My Friend's Strength

Wanting to be a source of strength, not just a bystander.

Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 (WEBBE)

Lord, my friend is in a draining season, and I want to be a source of strength to them rather than just a bystander. Your word tells us to encourage one another and build each other up; help me do exactly that for my friend. Strengthen them where they feel depleted and ready to give up, and use me as part of how You do it — a word, a presence, a practical hand. Where they cannot find strength in themselves, let them borrow some from You and from the people who love them. Keep me from drifting off when they need me most. Strengthen my friend, Lord, and make me a steady support, not a fair-weather one. Amen.
