Lord, my daughter is struggling with addiction, and my heart breaks a little more with every relapse and every lie. Your word remembers someone who called on You from the depths, and You drew near and said do not fear; draw near to my girl now. I pray for her freedom, honestly, knowing recovery is rarely quick or straight. Awaken in her the desire to get well and the humility to accept real help — a programme, a counsellor, people who understand. Protect her life and her body while she is still in this. Keep me from enabling, from despairing, and from defining her only by the addiction. Give me wisdom and endurance to love her through it. Come near to my daughter, Lord, and bring her home to herself. Amen.
