Lord, my daughter keeps sending applications into a silence that says nothing back, and it is hard to watch the world be cool to someone I love so fiercely. Your word says the One who began a good work in her will see it through to the end; hold her to that promise when the waiting makes her question herself. I want to phone in favours and clear her path myself; teach me instead to trust You with the daughter I have to let grow up. Let an honest door open at the right time, with people who recognise what she is becoming. Until then, keep her sure she is not falling behind her friends in Your eyes. Finish what You started in my daughter, Lord, and lead her on. Amen.
