Lord, my daughter is grieving, and the sadness in her is breaking my heart too. Your word does not deny the night of weeping, but it promises that joy comes in the morning; hold her gently through this night until that morning comes. Comfort her in the loss or the hurt she is carrying, and do not let me rush her grief just because it is hard to watch. Let her cry as long as she needs, and let her know her tears are not weakness. Sit with my daughter in the dark, Lord, and in Your time bring the morning. Comfort my girl, and hold her until joy returns. Amen.
