Lord, my daughter is recovering, and Your word keeps rising up in me: praise the LORD, my soul, and do not forget all His benefits. I do not want to forget — not the strength returning to her, not the ordinary days I once overlooked, not the people who carried us, not the long nights You sat with us when I had no words. Finish the good work of healing in her body. Steady the fear in me that still flinches at every check-up and ache. Teach us both to live in gratitude rather than in dread of what might come. Let her recovery be a long remembering of Your benefits, and not a bracing for the next blow. Praise You, Lord, for my daughter — and keep my soul from forgetting. Amen.
