Lord, my little one has just been diagnosed with diabetes, and it is so much to manage for someone this small. In Your word You drew children into Your arms and blessed them; gather my child into Your arms now. Help our whole family learn the testing, the food, and the injections that terrify someone so young. Keep my child's levels safe and protect their little body. Give me calm hands and a steady voice on the frightening days, and guard their joy from being eclipsed by a condition. Surround us with gentle doctors and teachers who understand. Hold my child close, Lord, and help us carry this for them until they are old enough to carry it themselves. Amen.
