Lord, we are waiting on my child's results, and I keep wishing I could fast-forward past this stretch to an answer — any answer. Your word says my times are in Your hand, and so are my child's, every single day of them, the ones behind us and the ones we are anxious about. So I am laying the calendar down. I cannot make the results come faster or come out the way I am begging You for; I can only place this whole uncertain stretch into hands that have held my child since before they were born. Keep my little one occupied and unafraid while we wait, and keep my own dread from leaking into the quiet. Whatever day the news comes, and whatever it says, that day is already in Your hand. I trust my child's times to You. Amen.
