Lord, today my child has another year, and my heart is full of gratitude for every day of it. Your ancient blessing is what I want to speak over them: the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace. Thank You for the gift my child has been since the day they arrived. Thank You for who they are becoming. As they grow another year older, grow them in kindness, in courage, in joy. Give them a year ahead full of good friends, real laughter, and the steady knowledge that they are loved — by us, and by You. Keep them safe, and keep them close to You. I bless my child today, Lord, with all my heart and in Your name. Amen.
