A prayer for you

Prayer for My Best Friend Who Is Sick

The one who has been family to you by choice.

A friend loves at all times; and a brother is born for adversity.
Proverbs 17:17 (WEBBE)

Lord, my best friend is ill — the person who has been my chosen family through everything. Your word says a true friend loves at every season, so let me prove that now, when it counts. Get to the root of whatever has made them sick, and build their strength back up. Steady them on the frightening or frustrating days, and remind them they are deeply loved when they feel like a burden. Give skill and clear judgement to those treating them. Keep me from pulling back just because sickness is awkward; make me the friend who keeps turning up — with soup, with company, with quiet faithfulness. Restore my friend, Lord, and let them lean on me and on You. Amen.
