A prayer for you

Prayer for Migraine Relief

For the pain that steals whole days.

But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.
Psalm 3:3 (WEBBE)

Lord, the migraines have come again, and the pain and the way they steal whole days leave me drained. Your word calls You the lifter of my head; I need that now, literally — lift this crushing weight from my head and my eyes. I ask for relief, plainly, and I trust You through the hours I can do nothing but wait it out in the dark. Ease the pain, the nausea, and the fog, and let the next one be further off and gentler. Help me find what triggers them and what helps, and give me grace with myself on the days I lose. Guard my spirit from despair when they keep returning. Be the lifter of my head, Lord, and bring me relief. Amen.
