Lord, I am going through chemotherapy, and each round takes its toll on my body and my spirit. Your word promises that as my days are, so my strength will be; give me strength measured out for each day of this, no more than I can carry at once. I ask for healing and for the treatment to do its work, while trusting You with an outcome I cannot control. Ease the sickness, the exhaustion, and the fear between treatments. Steady me on the hardest days, and let me find small mercies in the better ones. Give wisdom to my oncology team and grace to the people caring for me. Be my strength for this day of it, Lord, and the next, all the way through. Amen.
