Lord, I am trying to recover from divorce, and the grief, failure, and upheaval of it run deeper than I let most people see. Your word says You heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds; I need that healing in the most tender places. Sit with me in the loss without rushing me through it. Quiet the voice that loads all the blame onto me, and help me face honestly what is mine without being buried in shame. Steady my finances, my living situation, and my children if we have them. Rebuild my sense of who I am apart from the marriage. Where bitterness wants to take root, replace it with peace in time. Bind up my broken heart, Lord, and lead me toward a future I cannot yet picture. Amen.
