Lord, I have poured myself into this business, and I want it to succeed — though I am learning that success and faithfulness are not always the same thing. Your word says to commit my work to You and my plans will be established; so I commit it, hands open, trusting You to define what establishing it really means. Give me wisdom in the decisions, integrity when a shortcut tempts me, and resilience when the numbers are frightening. Let me build something honest that serves people well and treats everyone it touches fairly. I will not pretend I do not want it to thrive; I only ask that I would not sell my soul for it, or measure my worth by it. Bless the work of my hands as You see fit, Lord, and keep my character through whatever comes. Amen.
