Lord, I am struggling with back pain, and it shadows nearly everything I try to do — sitting, standing, sleeping, lifting. Your word says You raise up those who are bowed down; I feel bowed down, literally and otherwise, and I am asking You to lift me. I pray for relief and healing, and I trust You with how and when it comes. Ease the pain and the tension, and protect me from the discouragement and short temper that constant pain breeds. Guide me to the right treatment — the physiotherapy, the care, the changes that help — and give me patience through slow recovery. Lift me up, Lord, when the pain bows me down, and strengthen me for each day. Amen.
A prayer for you
