Lord, I am struggling with alcohol, and I am tired of the hold it has on me. Your word promises that no temptation is beyond what others face, that You are faithful, and that You always provide a way out; help me see and take that way before the next drink. I ask for freedom, honestly, knowing this is a hard road that I cannot walk alone. Give me the strength to get real help — a doctor, a programme, a group built for exactly this. Lift the shame that keeps me drinking to escape itself. Steady me one day, one hour, at a time. Where I have hurt people, begin to repair it. Make a way out for me, Lord, and walk it with me. Amen.

Tired of the hold it has on you.
“God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”
