Lord, I am caught in an addiction, and I am worn out from fighting a battle I keep losing. Paul's groan is mine — who will rescue me from this? — and so is his relief: thanks be to God through Jesus Christ. I lay before You the cravings, the secrecy, and the loop I cannot break by willpower. I want out, and I am finished pretending I can manage it alone. Give me courage for the next honest step and the humility to get proper help — treatment, a counsellor, an accountability partner who will not let me drift. Drag the whole thing into the light, because in the dark it only grows. Walk me through recovery a single day at a time, Lord, and do not let me write myself off. Amen.
