Lord, the birth is close now, and I am bracing for it — the pain, the unknowns, the things I cannot control about how this delivery will go. Your word says that even when I walk through the middle of trouble, You revive me, and labour is the most physical trouble I have ever faced. So be with me in the thick of it. Steady my body and my courage. Surround me with skilled, kind hands — midwives, doctors, nurses — and give them wisdom. I cannot script how this will unfold, and I will not pretend I am unafraid; what I am asking for is Your presence through every contraction and decision, whatever comes. Watch over my baby through the hardest journey they will ever make, from inside me into the world. And whatever this delivery holds, do not leave my side. Bring us through, Lord, held in Your hands. Amen.
