Lord, there is a promotion ahead, and I want it — for the recognition, the income, the sense that my work has been seen. Your word says advancement comes not from the east or west but from You, the One who lifts up and sets down; so I hold my ambition open-handed before You. If this step is right, prepare me to carry it well — with more responsibility and not more pride. If it is not mine, or not yet, guard my heart from bitterness and comparison when I watch someone else rise. Let me do excellent and honest work whether anyone notices or not, and trust that You see what managers miss. Keep my worth anchored in You and not a title. Lift me up if it is right, Lord, and steady me if it is not. Amen.
