Lord, a new school year is beginning, and I commit it to You before the routines and rush take over. Your word says that when we commit our work to You, our plans are established; so I commit this year — the learning, the friendships, the challenges. Give the students focus and a love of learning, the teachers patience and energy, and every family a workable rhythm. Where last year was hard, let this one carry a fresh start. Guard the children from unkindness and help them be kind. Steady the nerves of new classes and new expectations. Bless this school year, Lord, from the first bell to the last, and let real growth happen in it. Amen.
