Lord, my workplace has become hard to walk into — the tension, the politics, the way it follows me home in my chest. Your word says not to be overcome by evil, but to overcome evil with good; that feels like a tall order on the worst days, so I need Your help to live it. Keep me from becoming bitter, cynical, or the very thing I dislike. Give me the strength to do good work and stay kind in a place that does not always reward either. Protect my peace and my health, and give me wisdom to know what to endure, what to address, and when it may be time to look for another door. Where there are good people here, let us strengthen each other. Help me overcome with good, Lord, and guard my heart in the meantime. Amen.
