Lord, we are in the middle of a custody case, and everything in me wants to pray to win. But that is not the prayer my child needs. Your word describes a wisdom from above that is pure, peace-loving, gentle, and without favouritism — give me that wisdom, even now. Help me keep my child's wellbeing at the centre of this, not my own hurt or my urge to be proven right. Guard their heart from the conflict between the adults who are supposed to protect them; keep them from being made a weapon or a messenger. I will not ask You to take my side against their other parent, whatever I feel; I ask instead for what is genuinely best for my child. Give the people deciding this real discernment. Steady me to act with integrity and calm, not retaliation. And carry my child through a process they did not choose. Your wisdom, Lord, not my winning. Hold my child. Amen.
