A prayer for you

Prayer During Chemotherapy

Chemo asks the body to grow weaker so it can grow well. That is a strange and tiring grace.

Therefore we don't faint, but though our outward person is decaying, yet our inward person is renewed day by day.
2 Corinthians 4:16 (WEBBE)

Lord, this treatment is hard, and there are days it feels like it is taking more from me than the illness did. While the medicine does its difficult work in my body, do Your renewing work in my spirit, so that even as my outward strength wears thin, the inner part of me is made new. Carry me through the nausea, the exhaustion, the long sterile hours. Bless the nurses who mix the bags and watch the lines. Let this poured-out weakness become the path to healing. When I cannot feel like myself, remind me that I am still wholly Yours. Renew me, day by day. Amen.
