Lord, I have a meeting ahead that matters, and a lot may turn on how it goes. Your word says I can prepare my heart, but the right words finally come from You; so I prepare as well as I can and then ask You to meet me in the room. Give me clarity to think, calm to listen, and the wisdom to say the true thing rather than the impressive one. Where there is friction at the table, make me a peacemaker; where there is a decision, give me discernment. Set my ego aside, so I am serving the work and the people rather than guarding my own corner. The reactions of others and the final decision are not mine to dictate; my part is simply to come prepared and honest. Settle my nerves, Lord, and let my words be few and right. Amen.
